Easy ways to make some extra money

Most of us could use some extra money this year- I know I sure could. So I’ve been doing some experimenting to find some ways I can make and save a few extra dollars without working myself into the ground.

Here are a few ways I’ve discovered that I can make some extra money:

Playing Online

It may sound weird, but you can actually make a lot of money if you play online casino games. I’m not the greatest at playing, but if you’re experienced and enjoy gambling online, you may find that you make enough to build up your savings account. I always find that when I’m in a casino I’m overwhelmed by the different games (and I’ve often been drinking) so I don’t play very well. But when I’m playing online, I’m usually clearheaded and can take the time to play my best game.

Side Hustle

In my free time, I work as a freelance writer. This is something I’ve been doing for a few years, and while it can take some time to build up a list of clients, it’s a good way to make enough money to take some nice vacations or add some money to my savings.

If you’re thinking about starting a side hustle, the best idea is to look at the different skills you have, so you can use them to make some money in your free time. I know a lot of web designers, graphic designers, writers, SEO experts, social media superstars, and web developers who have started their jobs as a side hustle, eventually realising that they could afford to quit their day job and go full-time with their side hustle.

Lighten your load

As someone who travels frequently, I don’t own a lot- I would rather pay for a trip to Bali than a new TV. However, I have noticed that whenever I need to lighten up and get rid of some of my belongings, I can usually sell them online and make some cash back.

This is especially true if you need to get rid of electronics, and my brother recently made a lot of money by selling his old Playstation. Instead of leaving these things lying around the house until they become obsolete, you should go ahead and sell them if you’re not using them so you can make some money.

Quit eating out

Ok, this probably won’t make you money, but it will definitely save it. If you don’t think this is a problem, spend a week tracking all of the money you spend and then see how much of it you spend on eating out and grabbing those takeaway coffees. You’re likely to be surprised at just how much you’re spending.

When I started cooking at home, I found that I had more money left at the end of the week, and I was also losing weight since I was eating food that was better for me.
