Sydney

Sydney really does put on a good show at Christmas time. Come December the weather is beautifully warm making Christmas day generally a great beach day. Rather then sitting down for a big heavy roast the locals here pack a picnic and head off to the beach for some sunshine, surf and BBQ. Bondi is an extremely popular spot at Christmas time for the locals and one to definitely check out. Expect to see lots of Santa hats on the sandy shores. You also can’t beat the Sydney Harbor fireworks at New Years. Be sure to turn up early for a good harbor spot to view the fireworks. Crowds start gathering around the harbor very early in the day.
