3 Tips for Visiting a Vineyard

One of my favourite things to do, whether I’m traveling overseas, or exploring more locally, is to visit a vineyard. First and foremost, the grounds of a vineyard are almost always stunning which makes for a wonderful place to enjoy a meal or a platter if on offer. The drive itself to the vineyard is usually stunning, and it just feel so relaxing to be around beautiful vines and of course delicious wines. Whether it’s your first time visiting a vineyard, or you go regularly, there are a few things you can do to make the entire experience more enjoyable. Keep reading to learn more.

  1. Book in Advance
There’s a chance the vineyard you want to visit, depending on the time of year and popularity, might require a booking in advance. Whether you’re doing a tour, just looking to enjoy a tasting or wanting to enjoy a meal, booking in advance will give you peace of mind that you’ll be able to enjoy it when you want to. If you’ve travelled a long way, this is imperative as there’s nothing worse than going a great distance only to be turned away or having to wait a long time. 2. Buy Extra as a Gift
One of my best adulting tips is to buy double of whatever I want when visiting a vineyard. I buy a bottle (or two) for myself and then I get an extra one to gift to a friend or family member for a special occasion. There are so many occasions that a bottle of wine works for – whether it’s for a baby shower, birthday, or house warming gift, meaning that you’ll always have something special on hand. 3. Get Some Great Photos
Vineyards make for wonderful locations for mini photoshoots! There’s something so special about the beautiful grounds, and I think most of us feel a lot more confident after a few glasses of wine. Why not take it to the next level and work with a drone! If you’ve never flown a drone before, don’t worry, you can take a quick online course like this one from Volatusdrones.ca to get up to speed fast.

Visiting a vineyard is such a fun activity to do with friends and family alike. I hope these tips inspire you to have a wonderful visit the next time you go.
