The thing that Blackpool is most famous for is its Pleasure Beach theme park. It’s a pretty amazing place for families and thrill seekers to spend their time. It’s home to some of the greatest roller coasters in all of Europe, so it’s a must for anyone who likes that kind of thing. The biggest, fastest and scariest roller coaster you’ll find there is The Big One, so make sure you ride it! And there are plenty of smaller rides that the children love, making it a great place for a fun family day out.
Visit Madame Tussauds Blackpool
You don’t have to venture to London to get a glimpse of the wax models of Madame Tussauds. You can just as easily see what they have to offer while you’re taking a break in Blackpool. It’s the kind of place that gives you a very fun way to spend a rainy afternoon. And, unfortunately, the chances of you experiencing a bit of rain while you’re in Blackpool are pretty high. So, when you can’t spend the day outside, head down to Madame Tussauds and get lost in the fun of the attraction.
See the Animal-Themed Attractions
There are a couple of great family-friendly attractions in Blackpool that are perfect for animal lovers. The first of them is Blackpool Zoo. It’s definitely one of the very best zoos in Britain, and it is great for young children. As well as all the usual animals, such as giraffes, lions and orangutans, there is also the playbarn. They also hold parent and toddler sessions. The other attraction is Sea Life Blackpool. This is great for children who are still interested in learning about unusual sea life.
