Best Gadgets for Holidays

The world is an amazing place, and technology is constantly improving and making traveling even easier and more fun. While there are plenty of benefits to ensuring you’re not taking too much stuff on holiday, there are some gadgets which can make the travel experience better and more rewarding.

Here are some of the best gadgets for holidays:

Selfie Stick

Let’s face it, whether you’re traveling alone or with someone else, at some stage you’re going to want to take some selfies. If you’re anything like me, taking selfies is an awkward process and you constantly wish your arm was just a little longer so you could get a more flattering angle, instead of focusing on all of your “chins”. Well now you don’t need to. Not only are selfie sticks becoming more and more acceptable, and more frequently seen in tourist destinations, but you can now also get a plug in remote selfie stick, so you won’t need to set a timer and then awkwardly smile while you wait for the camera to take the photo.

Spider Catcher

If you hate bugs as much as I do, and you travel to countries where spiders could very well kill you, It’s time to invest in a spider catcher. Not only is it an easy way to catch spiders without having to look for toilet paper or a cup, but it’s humane too. All you have to do is squeeze the handle and the bristles will open, grabbing the insect so you can take it outside and into the wild. Perfect if you’re staying in a dodgy hostel which has lots of insects, or even if you’re camping.

Emergency Phone Charger

My phone constantly goes flat when I’m traveling, which can both unsafe and annoying. I like to listen to music, use my apps, and occasionally even work while I’m getting from Point A to Point B, but my phone battery while hardly ever last the distance, resigning me to hours spent sighing, looking out the window, and wondering if we’re there yet.

Luckily this handy emergency phone charger can save the day. Small enough to fit in your purse or pocket, you can simply connect it to your phone and charge any major phone brands such as Apple, Nokia, LG, Samsung, and Sony Ericsson. It also has two different types of USB so you can charge other electronics as well.

Music Pillow

At first I thought this would be weird to travel with, until I thought about how many times I’ve wished for my favourite pillow while on holiday, and how many times I’ve seen people who were smart enough to take theirs. This pillow has a speaker built into it (you can’t feel it through the pillow) and can connect to your phone, mp3 player, iPod, or any other music source. I hate trying to listen to music with my headphones in at night, since they’re uncomfortable and annoying. This pillow could also be used to play rain or forest sounds and soothe you to sleep.
